Vykom Muhammad Basheer was a renowned Malayalam writer, novelist, and short story writer. He was born on January 21, 1908, in Thalayolaparambu, near Vaikom, in the Kottayam district of Kerala, India. He died on July 5, 1994.
Basheer is considered one of the greatest Malayalam writers of all time. His works are known for their simplicity, humor, and social commentary. He was also a strong advocate for social justice and equality.
